Meet cassia wild

Hello, I’m Cassia Wild - the heart and hands behind this space.

My foraging journey began when I was very young, living with my great granny in Poland. She had a beautiful big garden filled with potatoes, strawberries, rhubarb, carrots, and so on - everything fresh and alive. We would go mushroom foraging together, and she would turn our finds into the most wonderful dishes and sauces. Nothing will ever quite compare to the meals she made; they were simple, seasonal, and full of love. Those early days left a mark on me that never went away.

When I was 11, my mum moved me and my siblings to the UK, and life took a very different turn. But the memory of those gardens, those baskets of mushrooms, and the smell of homemade food stayed with me. Returning to foraging and herbalism as an adult feels like reconnecting with that part of myself - a way of honouring my roots while creating a calmer, more intentional life here and now.

🌿 Why Cassia Wild?

You might be wondering about the name. Cassia Wild is a pen name - not because I want to hide, but because I want to give this space its own identity. I run other businesses under my real name, but this project is different. I want Cassia Wild to be its own world: gentle, grounded, and free from the noise of everything else I do. A calm space, not just another one of my “projects.”
